I wish I wasn't so tired for this...but, as always

You know guys, I really gotta get in the habit of typing up my thoughts as I'm watching, cause I know I'm going to miss some thoughts I wanted to share.

In same ways, this was an incredibly homoerotic episode, despite the guys seeking out women. You had Castiel and Dean's great adventure, and Sam in bed with Lucifer...

Once again, I think they've been hitting the fanfic way too hard. How many Dean/Castiel fics have we seen with Dean taking Cas to a bar or to get laid? How many fics where Dean is Michael and Sam is Lucifer? Hell, Samael is another name for Lucifer. (I know, I have the angel encyclopedia here, research for a completely different piece of writing...)

Things I liked - Dean calling Raphael a ninja turtle (Raph always was my favorite turtle). Dean and Cas bonding over searching for their fathers. Sam attempting to recover, hell Lindsay and the AA thing is also something fans have been joking about. "Simple Man" playing as the intro (yes, it's on Rock Band and it's really long to play...) Sam calling Bobby.

However it's the kind of episode that would probably work better in the written form. There are so many things going on internally here - inside Sam, Dean and hell even Cas. The actors can only portray so much visually.

Things I didn't like - Dean telling Cas he had more fun with him than with Sam. It just...didn't feel right. Might have been true, but this is post hell Dean...Yes, Dean has to grow, move beyond his dependance on his family. But, yeah, just didn't feel right. But that also goes to my point above, there are internal things going on that are hard to portray visually in a TV show -- I guess that's what fanfic is for:)

Also didn't like the hunters trying to force the blood on Sam. I really hoped they were demons, or influenced into doing that. It didn't make logical sense. Also didn't like the Cas getting laid thing because we haven't addressed yet what's happened to Jimmy. And have other angels had sex? Can they?

OH, I had this awesome idea. What if Castiel and the other angels aren't really angels. They think they are, but there's aliens or some other kind of Supernatural creature. Raphael says God is dead and none of them have seen God, which opens up all sorts of possibilities...If I had time I'd play with that in fanfic...

OMG, Time travel to the future! Stoner Cas? Wow, Misha gets to play himself? Evil Sam! Jensen gets to play two Deans! It's like the Trek episode with two Kirks! You just have to hug yourself Dean!
