Ok, let me say I liked this episode a whole lot more than last week's, which is good:) Season can only continue to go up.
Show of hands, who else saw the original Twilight Zone episode this is a version of? You know, the black and white one with people in a small town who suddenly turn on each other and it turns out to be aliens? I guess Dean's reference "this ain't the x-files" when the military guy mentioned aliens is a shoutout to this.
I wanted this type of episode - a shitload of hunters against a larger force - during season 3 when the supposed war was going on. I wanted the hunters to gather together - Ellen, Jo, Rufus - though we hadn't met him yet - and take on the demons. So yes, this episode made me happy on a number of levels.
So if War drives a Red Mustang does Death ride a white motorcycle? ;) Someone has once again been reading Gaiman.
It's good to see Sam struggle against his addiction. I guess it's his turn to give the emo confessions at the end of the episodes.
However, I did NOT see the separation at the end coming. I guess this is what people were pissed off about in the spoilers? It becoming the Dean/Castiel show?
Although Castiel did eyefuck Dean tonight. "I turned on my brothers for YOU. Oh and your brother." I bet Misha is loving that he gets to show emotion now.
Seriosly Cas, God is in New Jersey, playing skee ball. He's saving up his points for an HDTV...oh wait, that's me....
